“Every Case Counts”

The Delaware Cancer Registry (DCR), a program of the Delaware Division of Public Health, is the State’s central cancer database used to monitor and inform the State’s fight against cancer. The DCR was established in 1972, and is required by law to confidentially collect and provide information about cancer in Delaware.

Great strides have been made against cancer in Delaware due to the efforts of clinicians, cancer patients, citizens, researchers, policy makers, and advocacy organizations. Non-hospital provider reporting, as well as reporting by our hospitals, is essential to cancer surveillance and control as we track our progress and target resources to where they are most needed.

The dedication of Delaware hospitals, physicians, ambulatory surgery centers and pathology laboratories to reporting accurate, complete and up-to-date cancer information is truly appreciated. Thank you for your continued efforts as we move forward to secure electronic reporting to the DCR through Web Plus.
